| | "Cain't Say No" Oklahoma! | ] | Ah, to finally get a substantial paycheck. I logged over 54hrs over the past two weeks for both my jobs, so my check was close to $400, which is awesome, since i'll need it. Overall, it was a good day i guess. i went in to work at 9am and stayed until 5pm. Sad thing is that i feel like i didn't get anything done. I didn't even finish the transcript that i was supposed to do. I spent most of the day going over the ones that i'd already typed up and partially coded. But i guess it is a lot of work. Although it doesn't seem like i did 8 hrs worth. I still have lots to do. Oh, ok, so i got back from work and was just exhausted and so hungry since i hadn't eaten since breakfast. So i was like what do i want to eat? and it was between annie's mac and cheese or walking to the mall for mall chinese food. and i was like, eh, it's my night in (since alex and heather have dance guild tonight and i'm going tonight). so i walked to the mall. and turned the corner to get my chinese food.....and it turns out that they closed! it was so sad! i was actually really looking forward to it! oh well. so i walked back and took a stroll around kohls too on the way back and then got home and called my nana. seems she was having severe pain in her shoulders last night and got taken to the hospital. She's ok. They ruled that it wasn't her heart, which is good, and it's just muscle pains. she of course, complained about the crappy hospital food. Oh, she loves to complain about that.... then i made my mac and cheese and sat down to watch Andre, movie about the seal from Maine, which i haven't seen in like over 10 years. so i put it in the DVD player, which promptly freaked out, so i had to watch it on my computer. Ohmygod i love seals! or sealions. I was completely cracking up the entire time. For a kids' movie, it was actually really good. And they were showing all the random scenes to make it seem like a fishing village in Maine, and then i'm like, wait a minute, that's the barn in Rockport, MA, not Rockport, ME. It was silly, considering that the story takes place in a Rockport, just not that one. I watched the credits, but they never said they did any filming in Rockport. eh. anyways. i should be doing homework right now, but instead i'm taking a break from this week and typing this and singing showtunes (since i'm the only one home right). Right now, i'm singing "Sandy" from Annie. speaking of shaggy dogs, i FINALLY heard back from the breeder....two weeks later. she said basically that she still hasn't decided, but that she's meeting Molly (the GRR breeder that i'd first contacted) in St Louis this weekend. I quote: "I have not made a final decision yet on the puppies. Molly and I are meeting in st. Louis this weekend so she can see the puppies, then I will decide. I will let you know which boy will be coming to live with you". I thought i was getting a pick here? I mean, ok, i know that it's after the show quality are decided, but she said that she would have that by the time that they were 8 wks. They are 10 wks this weekend. Anyways, so i'm like, what's the "choice" between? A normal-coated pup or one of the fluffies? B/c if it's a fluffy, shouldn't i get a choice? Anyhow. So that's encouraging at least. Maybe i'll have an answer by the end of the weekend? perhaps that's too much to ask for. I guess that i can pick up the puppy the first weekend in May, so at least that's set! yay! the only thing that's in limbo is who will i be picking up? i guess i don't care as long as it's a healthy and adorable puppy. But now i can officially quit admissions. so show names? hmm, i'll have to get on that..... i was kinda thinkin... ok this is so geeky, but maybe a play off something from Oklahoma! since i really do like that musical and the puppy's from there? Or.....maybe something like, Meet Me in St. Louis. haha, oh how witty, considering that i'm meeting the puppy in st louis. Ok, i'm done. i have to go do religion readings. boo. |

| Another Fun-Filled Day.... |
[Jun. 22nd, 2006|12:06 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | hungry | ] | Ah yes, summer and the adventures that i have missed being in michigan. so tragic. luckily, the summer contains the best and most crazy of adventures; then again, perhaps that is because i am there. anyhow, i met up with shane and rachel at the Y as they were working. the same three girls where there tonight. they were playing outside and to get into the enclosure, i had to walk through a gate past a window of the Y and there were old people dancing there. so i laughed, and then i made the twins all excited and they had to see it too and it was funny (it came back to trouble shane when it was time to leave). Courtney, the little one, had been playing with rachel. but rachel put her down, and then she came to me and kept pushing me backwards (don't know why....). so then we went and played in the strange vechile thing that was in the playground. and she was like, i'm gonna drive you somewhere.... it's a submarine and you have to say submarine and then we'll go somewhere (or something like that)....and i'm the momma and you're the baby. so we start "going" and so to spice things up i'm like, oh, it's a fish, did you see the fish?! and she's like, no there's no fish! you're seeing things. and then she decided that i had to sit in the backseat in a carseat and get buckled in and all. then she told me that i had to sound more like a baby. so i started whining and crying and asking for a cookie. meanwhile, shane and rachel were with the twins, saying, you're never gonna live this down.... i think she was trying to get shane and rachel to join in the game, b/c she left and was like, you stay here and when nana and pop get here we'll drive home, and then she ran off to where shane and rachel and the twins where (and i'm going to assume that her plan was to drag shane and rachel over as pop and nana). didn't exactly work, but eventually everyone came over into our submarine. rachel also became a baby and got strapped into a second carseat next to me. but rachel would continually whine and ask for cookies, but courtney refused to give rachel any and instead would randomly "give" me cookies. it was cute. then it was time to go, and so courtney unstrapped me from my "carseat". in the room, courtney also tried to color on me with a crayon, and her mother was very mad at the prospect of her doing that. later on that night, when shane and i were at his house, his mom asked how the kids were or something and he was like, they were ok, and courtney actually likes allison.... and his mom was like, oh wow, that's strange....not that you're not likable... and i thought, yah, that sounded harsh... but 'twas quite understandable.
anyhow, afterwards, rachel went off with eric (from beverly!) and i think someone else, and shane and i went to drop off his overdue movie (that they didn't charge him for) and then to the beach to plan out our trip to NYC in december to see mary poppins when it comes to broadway. we settled on the plan that we wouldn't stay overnight b/c it would be so expensive and difficult to plan and that we'd just take the chinatown bus at 6:30am, catch the wednesday matinee at 3pm, then go around nyc for awhile and catch the 11pm bus back. and then we had issues with the tickets b/c shane wants to spend $60 for the front row of the balcony but i'm cool with $20 in the back of the balcony. we'll see what happens. overall, it doesn't look like it's going to cost us all toooo much money. but then again, who knows. a shirtless boy (i forget his name) then came by who knew shane and he was going swimming at the beach. shane slapped him. and then again b/c i missed the first demonstration. then we left; shane tried to get me to go meet rachel and her friends at devereux beach in MHD but i was like, no we just came from there, gas is expensive, and i still don't have a job! so we went back to his house.
we tried to look up the tickets, but it wasn't working. so we went and played some n64. later on, there was a fiasco in which i refused to let shane take a picture of me wearing my glasses with silly putty placed over the pupil and then he tried to break tony hawk, one of the most precious of the games, and then there was pandimonium. i ended up with silly putty in my hair, a working tony hawk, and a slightly angered shane. good enough. so he watched me play tony hawk b/c he "hates" it so much, and so i played it alone while he was retarded and kept laughing at me as i played, usually when i fell or somehting like that. then he decided to play. we played "horse" but he changed the word to friddlesticks (minus the vowels), his new word. OH! which reminds me, he keeps stealing my catchphrases, "tricky fish", which i've actually picked up from heather, but most importantly, "crap and a half", my original phrase. UNcool. so then we played a little bit of smash bros too, which he also wouldn't play but sat there telling me that i sucked and commentating. then he decided that he had to play to show me up, basically to "put me in my place". then i went home.
oh, and the green chair is still in danger. |

| First Day of Summer....for Rachel |
[Jun. 21st, 2006|12:43 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | sleepy | ] | I went and picked up shane at 6:45....well, actually it was 6:41, so i got yelled at for being early. So then we went to marblehead's Y to get rachel...but there were still children when we got there at 7pm, so we wound up staying until 8. there were three girls, all sisters, two were twins (7yrs) and then their little sister who was 3yrs. so we played with them. i read the book about the cow who oinked (pretty stupid) and there was mass pandimonium going on around me. one of the twins kept being like, give me a word to spell! and so she tried to spell things. i dazzled everyone with how in the third grade my teacher gave us a rhyme so we could learn to spell "vacation"....well, everyone looked at me funny at least. there were marbles and books and small plastic figurines and chasing and pillows and all kinds of fun. then there was reading. courtney (the 3yr old) was "reading" us a story. it was cute; she kept repeating random sentences about the car, like, "i wash my car" then "i'm washing my car", etc...she'd finish, then say, i want to read it again. she tried to "read" the cow one, but that didn't go over so well, and she went back to the car one and "read" it just to me. then we played with dinosaurs (although i'm not really sure what was happening with the game...) but shane told me later that she liked me and that she usually doesn't like anyone. so that was good. at 8pm, we left for rachel's so she could eat her gourmet dinner of steak...shane and i enjoyed her chewing sounds. we argued about mary poppins and NYC and came to no conclusions other than we'd do it later. then we went to nahant to fly my crap-assed kite that shane and rachel got me (from the church fair) for christmas (it was like a laser-tag design too, doubly fitting....) so i started flying the kite while shane and rachel tried to start a fire. and the kite was going really well, and they were like, oh it'd be funny if you let go and it would fly away. so...i'm letting the string go and finally (without realizing it) i get too close to the end and all the sudden the string detaches from the spool and the kite goes flying up and then falls into the ocean. and i tried to run after it and search for it in the water, but it didn't work and i couldn't even locate the string. suck. another loss....and i littered (in the ocean!) too. as for the fire, it wasn't working out either b/c of a lack of lighter fluid and apparently you can't buy lighters/fluid/matches unless you're 18 (had no idea...) so we went to buy some at the convience store which turned out to be a dunkin' donuts, like i said. so we went back to the car to think of what to do. rachel really wanted to visit her friend eric in beverly...or get smoothies with her friend eric from beverly, etc. we did not see her friend eric in beverly nor get smoothies.
but we went to salem to walk around. we were walking and shane tried to push me into a man walking by. and he's like, one day i'll push you into a person, and i responded with, and one day i'll push you into a car. classic. we walked past a cemetary and talked about cool epitaphs to have on a gravestone. then we went to the commons in salem and played on the swings. i went down the slide and it sucked. then shane slide down into me. and then i got woodchips in my hair. uncool... then i went and got onto the extra swing (there were only two and rachel was on the other) and then shane tried to sit on my lap and swing but it was very painful due to my sunburn and i was about to fall off the back of the swing too. i eventually gave up the swing and played swing chicken with shane and rachel. rachel kicked off her sandals at me and then we had a game to get them back on. it was fun. then we went back. we went by a fountain and shane and rachel found a water bottle on the street and filled it with water and chased me down the cobblestone roads (hard to run on with flipflops...) and they almost got me later on. i led back to the car through darkened alleyways. my favorite was the one with the kid on the bike and shane was retarded and made some comment about the guy on the bike, while we were still within earshot. stupid, that's how you get killed in a darkened alleyway in salem! we got back to the car and then drove rachel home. there were many fun lightnings (also throughout the night). then shane and i went to his house and played some n64. unfortunately no tony hawk, but i did plead, although it didn't work. And mario was somehow doing yoshi, according to shane. i just don't know about that. i just don't know.... |

| Canobie Lake |
[Jun. 17th, 2006|12:45 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | still tired | ] | So on thursday i went to marblehead to the Y where both shane and rachel were working. i met benjamin and we played with the brio train which made me happy. i also liked his mad counting skills and the fact that when he gave me a highfive it was with the hand that he'd been slobbering on.
we then watched rachel's french video, then went to shane's and played n64 for awhile. then he impromtu came home with me and stayed over since it was easier since we were going to canobie lake for the day. i was going to bake my mother a cake that night, but she was up until like 1am and wouldn't go to bed so she got no cake.
in the morning, we drove to malden to pick up shane's aunt and then to canobie lake. she had yougurt, but no granola. we got to canobie and it was crawling with school children on field trips. but they all left after awhile. i got lost in the glass maze because of all the stupid children. they suck. and the matterhorn wasn't open, which was very upsetting since it's my favorite ride at canobie. while waiting in line for the cannonball, a bunch of crazy girls yelled at me to move up the line, even though the ride wasn't open or letting anyone on (so it really didn't matter). they were obnoxious. the wipeout was unnecessarily painful (at least to me), yet it still had the potential to be fun. shane's aunt was always taking random pictures. the "water park" was fun. i enjoyed shooting the children with water guns, esp. the stupid little boy that didn't understand, then finally figured it out and the little girl that was trying to avoid water, and so when the water came, jumped into a netted area to not get wet and looked very upset. it was cold. one of the water slides made you stop in the middle; the other was really fast and dark. the big bucket was fun....until we stood right underneath it and it ripped off my sunburned skin. that hurt immensely. the tea party was very wet. the log flume was fun too, the picture was also, well, comical, especially shane's aunt and my sunburn (which is very prominent in the photo). the bumper cars, as always, were amazing, except for the last time when i creamed a little 8yr old girl from behind and then she got hit by a car in every other direction possible. i felt bad. we went to the canobie clam box across the street for dinner. we dropped shane's aunt back off in malden. i called val about the pit party for the night. she called back and shane answered and transfered everything i said to val. he wouldn't let me talk on the phone to her. i dropped shane off then went back home.
then pit party. i went to take a nap until they all came over, and i left a note for val to come find me when they did. so she and mark came to my room and then i had to get up (but i was SOOO tired b/c of lack of sleep, but it wasn't as bad as shane who apparently woke up a bunch in the early morning thinking it was 8am, but it was only 4am, or 5am, or 6:30am, etc). then we had a pit party with me, val, mark, colin and evan. mark was the big winner of the night; he sucks (but is not a doody). i got negative 100 in the first round, but then made up for it in the second round with 110 (positive)! it was splendid fun. we talked about many fun things, including the alphabet of manliness and of the neighborhood and of japanese secrets and tacobell and their good-to-go's. we even played with the bunnies. then i was so tired and the game was pretty much over, so i went to bed. yay. |

| The Vineyard |
[Jun. 13th, 2006|03:44 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | amused | ] | first off, i would like to say that Nico the Unicorn was AMAZING and terribly comical, just as i suspected. val enjoyed it just as much as i did. my favorite parts were when the cougar ate the pony sacrificed it's life for the life of its unicorn baby's by shutting the barn door and the fact that going to the top of big rock mountain automatically equals death. classic. anyhow, the trip to martha's vineyard:
went to bed late after nico (1:30ish) then got up at 5:45am to go. drove down to falmouth area, mom was all pissy and mad b/c of directions and such, got on the ferry and made it onto the island by 10amish. walked around oak bluffs for awhile, then walked along the beach and then got picked up by the bus. went to edgartown and the lighthouse beach and ate lunch. took many pictures during the entire day. collected some shells. everyone took a nap on the beach except for me. by 1:30, we got back to the bus stop and went to Aquinna to see the cliffs. that was fun. stayed there for an hour until the next bus came back and then we went to vineyard haven for dinner and to catch the next ferry home. so we got there and went looking for dinner. had quite the time trying to find a place that wasn't like $30 a meal. met a bob-tailed cat and val didn't like it b/c she's now allergic. finally found a place to eat (really nice and definitely recommend it--zephyrs or something like that). by that time, my family started to notice my burn....even though i put sunscreen on. i didn't do so well on my neck (which is all stripy and funny b/c i missed random spots) and the back of my neck (which i didn't put sunscreen on b/c my hair was down, but then it was up for the rest of the day). so i got laughed at for that. then we're all sitting down, waiting for our food to come, and then my dad spilled his entire glass of water...on me. and the thing is that like a week ago i went out to eat w/ my parents and my mom spilled her entire glass of water on me. so it was like, thanks guys. anyhow....
we got back on the ferry at 7:15pm to go back and we picked front row seats on the side of the boat. there were some kids sitting a row or two behind us. and then we see seagulls. and then the children decide it would be fun to try to feed the seagulls. so they come up to the side of the boat (riiiiight next to my mom) and try to get the seagulls to eat their crackers. and they do. they start swooping down and attacking the children for the crackers, in the meantime, hovering above us, and i'm freaking out b/c i know that i'm the one that's going to get pooped on by a seagull if it happens (didn't, but did see one poop when it was close). so there's like 15-20 seagulls hovering above the boat right where we are and the children are screaming and laughing b/c the gulls are taking the food right out of their hands and swooping in for the food, and they're just multiplying like crazy. so then i'm like, so i've got some extra animal crackers... and so val takes the challenge and feeds them. and they right out attacked her hands and bit her as they got the food. my favorite was the time that she held out both hands with two animal crackers and two gulls, one right after the other, came down and took the crackers (i have it on tape, it's amazing). we were in hysterics (and my mom was freaking out the whole time). it was fun. the end. |

| Ghost Hunts in the Metro-North Vicinity |
[Jun. 11th, 2006|05:09 pm] |
Well, I'd best tell the tale of last night before i get beaten more... but seriously, this is the account of last night's fun.
I went over to shane's after he told me that he was going to come to my house, but then he called back a minute later telling me that there was a slight problem...the truck is out of comission. so i ventured to swampscott. firstly, i watched as shane tried to log his way into his JSC account which he had gotten at his orientation over the past few days. not sure exactly what happened other than he tried to change the password and then it just flat out wouldn't log him into his account. i don't know exactly what the problem is, but whatever.
so then we went to his room and he opened the package of fun policing toys that rachel and i bought him for his graduation. he promptly threw away the sunglasses (yes, they're crappy, but so funny, so i don't know why ANYONE would throw them out....) then proceeded to rip the handcuffs in half (to my horror) and throw them also into the trash. but he atleast had a better fake pair in his junk drawer. and then the gun. definitely the best part of the package, complete with holster and two darts with sucction cups on the end. then i got myself a "beating", both being the target of the darts and occassionally being hit by the actual gun itself (the more painful of the two). then he played a song from working on the keyboard and i got the job of hitting the precussion buttons. go me!
then of course was N64. except that we still never play any of the games that i really like/am good at. ok, well i'm pretty damn good at mariokart, but that's about it, and besides, shane's gotten so much better at it that it's getting harder for me to consistantly beat him at it. see, we never play tony hawk (my FAV!) and we don't play super smash bros. anymore since half of the characters got lost (NOT my fault), but i did proceed to win back jigglypuff, but no one cares about that piece of crap. billy, or ness, is all that matters and he's gone forever, since he'd be the hardest to win back and the gameshark won't work with that particular game. suck.
after having a few (or rather, many) rounds of mariokart and some terrible rounds of goldeneye in which i was stripped of my glasses and couldn't see the screen at all, we stopped playing and watched "Little Toot", some crap-assed movie that shane had used to watch in his childhood and had rented from the library (he also got me Nico the unicorn, and i'm SOOOOOO damn excited for that!). anyhow, so he got me out a complimentary piece of paper and a pen to take notes with, and i did....and plenty of them too. it was pretty much a terrible movie with terrible characters, terrible animation, terrible plot, and worst, terrible musical numbers. my favorite, the percy's purple pickled pelican pellets song. creepy...
so then he read over the list and laughed at it. then the dart gun came out again and i kept getting shot in the head, sometimes right between the eyes. then out came the camera, and so our mission was to get a picture of the dart flying in the air, but not bouncing off it's hit. so that took awhile. but we finally got one. then we went out.
out ghost hunting. yes, we went ghost hunting. first we went to gallows hill in salem after some minor directional difficulties (but not our fault; one way streets...). then we went to the customs house. then to winter island and the willows. no drug deals on winter island last night, suprisingly. but there was a guy in the booth and so it was weird when i made my 7-point getaway turn. and of course there were a few sketchy vehicles in the willows parking lots, but we left. and went to old burial hill in marblehead. now, i've taken trips at night to old burial hill with shane and rachel and ivan last summer, and only myself (and ivan) would get out of the car, even after EVERYONE had insisted that i go there. well it happened again, although i was actually able to convince shane to go to the very top of the hill. at first he got out of the car, but left the door open so that he could hop back in the car. then i convinced him to come up the stairs. so he made it maybe 10 steps up then stopped (we hadn't even gotten into the grave part). and he just stayed there, terrified of the ghosts i guess. i kept going. and eventually i heard running behind me, and it was shane, who didn't want to be left alone in the cemetary. so we continued to the top, with shane stopping every once and a while to take multiple pictures to capture "ghosts" on film. he "caught" one supposedly on film, but i'm skeptical. anyways, we got to the top, then went back down, shane trying to entice the ghost to be caught on film by telling them to come out for his pictures...didn't work.
we went home. he told me that if i could find a scientific reason as to why it wasn't a ghost he would believe it. i'm not sure that what i found is perfect, but this is the ghost orb skepticism that i found:

| Ponies, Money, and the Summer |
[Jun. 10th, 2006|02:42 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | torn | ] | My cousin Karin came over briefly tonight. her car is broken and my dad's helping her fix it. her ridiculously old horse jazzy also has some infection with his eye, in which he will be having laser surgery or it will be taken out. anyways, she told me that one of her friends, chrissy, has rented an entire wing over at her old barn in georgetown and was looking for a working student, someone willing to do barn chores in exchange for riding time. which would be amazing and ideal for me, especially since i'll be (hopefully) competing come October with the equestrian team at school. now, this working student thing would be amazing. i'd get to ride and get lessons and be around horses this summer and get more barn chore experience under my belt, but the problem is money and time and scheduling. yes, i know it's free, but i'd still have to drive to georgetown probably every day or so to clean stalls and to ride and whatnot, and gas is expensive! and i have no job to subsidize the money that it would take to drive to the barn (not to mention all my excursions to swampscott) and besides, if i had a job, that would interfere with the time for being at the barn and i don't know what the hours for either would be. but still, it would be invaluable experience and every.... crap...... what to do? if i already had a job, it would make it so much easier. oh, and if i took this riding thing i probably wouldn't be able to go to NH on the wkends. i don't know what to do.... |

| Graduation and whatnot |
[Jun. 6th, 2006|04:27 pm] |
Ah, so summer has begun...well, it had a while ago, but regardless. rachel and i went to shane's graduation on sunday, despite the fact that it rained. i still can't believe they didn't move it indoors. the people in the stands would periodically take down their umbrellas when the rain ceased, and then when it began again, they would all pop right back up in orderly fashion. it was rather comical and i laughed everytime. and the lady in front of me and rachel kept poking her umbrella into ours and she was crazy and scary, and well, there's no way to describe her; it was just funny. the ceremony was kinda long, especially all the scholarships. and then they had the presentations of the diplomas, and that was the longest, so rachel started a countdown. anyhow, then it was over, and shane's parents were like, ok, well you guys go find shane and we'll all just meet back at our house. so rachel and i went to go find him--easier said than done. we walked through the muddied and crowded field (me in heels, sinking into the ground) and tried to find him (which we didn't for the longest time, but we did meet chris "sunshine" o'brien in our travels). finally rachel found shane and then we left. we got back to the car and he was like, hey, why's there a bag of presents in the backseat? well, rachel and i had decided to go and make a "college survival pack" (except some of the stuff won't help anyone survive in college, but they were funny) and so he opened all the fun stuff we bought (all from the most glorious dollar store on the lynnway. anyhow, we then presented him with an apple pie, since he's always like, i want pie! do you have pie? let's make/buy a pie! and so we had to make him one for graduation.
anyhow, we met everyone back at his house, all his family, plus me and rachel. his grandfather was like, oh i remember meeting that girl (rachel) but i don't think i know that other one (me). and so i was like, no i think we've met.... and then he was like, oh are you that girl with the car that died in the driveway? of course, that's all i ever get remembered for, the stupid things i do or that happen to me. alas.... anyways, so we set off to go out to dinner with his family, but we were traveling to the outback in medford (quite a ways from swampscott, not to mention i had no idea where to go and i had the boat of a car that is the grand marquis). so shane apparently "knows" where he's going and i'm still like, um, yah, not sure i trust your directional sense.... but anyways. we started out first, and yet got there last. faulty directions, faulty navigation, the trickery of the metro-boston area, i don't know. i'm not gonna point fingers. but we did lose the race. but hey, we were fashionably late, as we should have been. so then we got to meet the rest of the family (the south shore variety) or at least each one was named in succession. and of course, i got to meet the infamous Zachary, the favorite step-second cousin. he was really cute, although tainted by the diabolical ways that people often take against me. but cute nonetheless. and i heard whisperings of trying to throw either me or rachel in a pool....not exactly sure on those details, but upon investigation, little zachary revealed nothing. tricky, tricky fish.
so then we made our way back to swampscott. but shane had to drive his dad's truck back, and so he and rachel drove in the truck while i followed. they tried to trick me by using their right directional as they turned left (uncool...) and stuff like that. regardless we made it back. i was supposed to go back to shane's house and just break in (well, not really, since i know where the key is) and wait there until he came back from dropping rachel back in marblehead, but he went back to his house b/c he had to go to the bathroom and so i wound driving, and we took rachel back home then shane and i went to walmart to buy dvds if they had any good ones (with his graduation money) but he forgot his wishlist of dvds, so we didn't get very far. then we went back to his house for awhile, my mom called desperately telling me to pick up pineapple so that val's rabbit wouldn't die and shane was really tired b/c he hadn't had his nap that day, so i wound up leaving at like 9:30. (ps, the rabbit didn't die). |

| The Past Few Days |
[Jun. 2nd, 2006|11:25 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | tired | ] | Ok, so i haven't updated in a few days and i've done some crazy stuff. so while i was in boston yesterday, i wrote down a list of things to include. if i write them all out and make it into a story, then it might be (well, will be) far too long, so i'll just bullet-hole them.
Wednesday 5/31
-lunch with Nana and Val, plus food shopping -Christmas Tree Shops with Val -Shane called me and demanded I come to work with him and Rachel; I said no, he hung up -Shane called again, said that i must come, executive decision on both his and Rachel's part -got to marblehead YMCA; Rachel didn't know i was coming (aka, no executive decision) -Rachel's math homework, the calculator and Shane's shortcut, the matrix -signatures and the magnadoodle -in the last 10 minutes they told me there was a brio train set (i always wanted one but never got one), i took it out, made a sucky track (b/c i hadn't enough time and they stole the bridge) -dropped off Rachel in Lynn, she had to write an essay -went trash hunting in the rich part of swampscott with shane; found a jackpot; half-circle end table was there, about to get it, but cars were going past me, so i couldn't get out, and meanwhile a man walked up, looked at the table, picked it up and walked off -wound up getting an end table (mom thinks it's nice); crazy man came out with a mattress, said that i could have it if i wanted, that "no one's ever slept on it, well, not a lot" and "the woman upstairs is mean"....he helped put it in the car, then we sped off -went to philips beach b/c i can't go to mhd or swmpt without visiting the beach--shane threw rocks at me, got me wet, so i was pissed and refused to talk to him -in his attempts to make me not mad at him, he got to close to the water and the wave got him; very comical -i was still mad when we left, went to playground at old's kids cove to go on the swings -left, but saw crazy man in the woods; what was he doing? peeing? drugs? hookers? so we decided to investigate -didn't see anything suspicious, followed another guy in the woods, just crazy teenager, also was really creaky tree in the woods -went back to shane's--celebrity gameshow show -piano, the terrible essay (fun to say aloud...) -N64--got mad again b/c shane wouldn't let us A)stop playing mariokart (i only wanted to do a few of the races; he decided that since i wanted to do a few, then we had to do them ALL) and B)wouldn't let us play any other game (aka, smash bros or tony hawk); he put in goldeneye, i refused to play, he played the entire 10 min game just going around shooting the person that i was supposed to play -finally played smash bros (still no tony), watched level-9s kill each other off; i played and i won (legit) with 7 kills and i stuck it out the longest; was about to get picture proof, but shane sat on the controller and then the screen went back to the beginning -shane also played against the level-9s, "won", but had the least kills of them all; he took a picture, thus proof, but still didn't win legit like i did -got tired of playing (my thumb hurt) so watched shane play mario 64 until i had to go home b/c i had a job interview in boston on thursday
Thursday 6/1
-got into boston by 10:10ish -went to interview at PSG--looks promising, gave me a pen and a notebook -got out at 11:30, went to fanueil hall and found out that there was a free concert at 7pm that night with dashboard confessional in city hall plaza -called val and pam to see if they wanted to come in and see it with me; they did, but couldn't come in until 5:30-6ish -walked around fanueil hall, many school children, some played duck, duck, goose -got muffin and coolatta at Dunks, walked to gardens, sat on bench and watched the swan boats for lunch -walked around and took pictures, explored gardens and commons -walked around the city (in circles) -found city hall plaza (it was right where i'd seen the sign--right in front of fanueil hall); concert at 7pm w/ dashboard and opener, also free snapple, given by FNX -much time to waste; went shopping at H&M--spent $45, oops -found new park i didn't know exisited on the harbor on other side of the mariott by the aquarium; apparently in the north end -went back to city hall plaza, staked out a spot for the concert (at 3:30pm...concert not til 7pm) -val and pam finally made it in with picnic dinner, stupid whore stood right in front of us so we couldn't see As Far As, the opener -started to rain right before dashboard came on; put our valuable stuff in pam's poncho and used the blanket as shelter from the rain -at end, went to haymarket station, gave our money to the T, then realized that there are no outbound trains to oak grove past like 7pm, had to take the shuttle bus (which is free due to the inconvience), very packed, hot, and dangerously full -got home, val and i "watched" anchorman--more like fell asleep
wow, that was long, but it could have been longer. the end. |

| A Trip to the Dentist and More |
[May. 26th, 2006|10:13 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | sleepy | ] | yesterday i went to the dentist. haven't been in 2 years, but still don't have a cavity--yay! (except i might develop them if i don't floss....we'll see how long i start that up for...) then i went and picked up shane and he gave me four choices and i had to pick where we were going to eat. unfortunately, all of them are closer to me, so it makes me have to drive to swampscott, then drive toward home, then back to swampscott again. anyhow, we went to fuddruckers in reading b/c i had a coupon for buy one get one free. after we ate, shane heard some song from dumbo and so we followed it to the liquid fireworks and watched those. they were very entertaining; i could sit and watch it everyday. anyhow, we missed the beginning, so we were going to stay for the next show, but we had 15 minutes. so we walked around jordan's furniture. also entertaining, especially with the disney disco's version of macho duck..... we got back for the next show, but the music was different, so we left.
we had extra time when we got back, so we went to the beach and it was glorious. oh, i love the beach! but then we had to leave and it was, at least for me, sad. we saw three stupid pre-adolescent boys, two who were presumably going into the ocean, and the third just stupid and he sent his bike down the stairs to the beach and broke it. idiot. anyways, then we left and stopped by shane's house then went to the school, but he forgot to get me HP6 so i can read it again this weekend, so he was like, eh, you can just stay for the entire auction (mind you, it was 4pm and the auction ended at 10-10:15ish). well i stayed. very interesting. it was craziness and i got to meet some of the TV studio crazies and Mr. Reed, who told me that i won the award for best bystander at any of the past auctions b/c i just stood out of the way and was quiet. go me! Oh, and i can't forget to mention the crazy lady named alice winston who bids on like half the stuff and wins it. she was really excited to win these ceramic dragons that art students from the school had made. she had gotten the ones from monday and tuesday, but had narrowly lost the wednesday one, and was very upset. so she called in and placed a $10 bid on it early, then called later and outbid herself for $15, just to be safe. i think that they should have this crazy old woman as a special guest on the auction sometime; i think that she would enjoy it.
so then we went to shane's after we were done with the auction and played some sweet n64. and i actually won a game in goldeneye, letgit! it was slappers only, so it was a bit more of a level playing field. and we played some mariokart and then when i was about to win, he'd quit the game.... and then we "played" super smash bros., rather, we pitted the characters against each other and took bets on who'd win. oh billy.... then we watched some golden girls (i liked the crazy neighbor lady that dropped dead and the clown birthday parade that dorothy had to lead with the children).
anyways, i decided that i must gloat from my recently posted grades. i got 3 As in my major classes and an A in my sq dance class, and an amazing A- in psych (which i thought i was going to get a B in). my GPA is usually around a 3.6, which keeps my scholarship and it pretty good. my GPA for this semester? try 3.936....out of 4.0. hell yah. |

| Cookies and OC Marathons |
[May. 24th, 2006|03:58 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | bored | ] | It's sad that the beginning of summer is always so boring. i'm the only one home with the 'rents and that sucks. home almost seems like a prison; there's no where to go to get away at this point. anyhow, i've been coping. i've been watching far too much of the OC (like 4+ hrs a day....oh bad.....) and i feel like i've been suzy homemaker, which pretty much equates to me not wanting to be yelled at by my parents for not having a job yet and being home and not doing anything. i learned this art a few years ago; the way to survive with your parents in the summer if you don't have a job is to clean up the house just enough so that it looks like you've actually been doing something all day. i know the tasks well. i've also cleaned up most of my room, except for the fact that val's car still has about a 1/5 of my stuff in it....so i'll have to unpack again in about a week. And i cleaned out my car and it was dirty, but now it's clean and smells like delicious man (which no one reading this will understand, but laura would...). Anyways, tonight is wednesday and my parents favorite night to go to bennigan's for dinner with the nordin's. they've invited me to come, but pam's going, so i'll probably wind up going out too. it'll be nice to get out of the house, but i'm afraid they're all going to be like, so what are you doing for the summer?, etc. Ugggg....if i get another one of those questions, i swear. it seems like everyone else i know can go home or get out of school and get their old job back but me. -sigh- and i can't afford another summer with no work, even though i will be working for admissions in the fall. oh! which reminds me, i went to check my grades which are supposed to be up today (but aren't) and so instead i checked my class pics and i have a class with leah (well, 2 technically, but one of them isn't showing up....i'm scared...), and one with paige (and ben graves is in that class too!). yay! it's so nice to actually have classes with people that i actually know. i'm excited. well, off to search for cheap plane flights. |

| Slow Beginnings |
[May. 23rd, 2006|12:53 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | bored | ] | So yesterday was my first day of freedom for the summer! yay! i spent it unpacking. and i went to update my prescription for my glasses, and i went out to pay the bill and i heard this guy complaining or something and i was like, wow, he sounds really familiar....looked over to see who it was and was like, he looks really familiar....oh my god, it's pastor dave! he didn't have his glasses on, so i didn't recognize him at first, but then i was like, eeeehhh....pay and leave. i would have said hi, but he was really into his complaining or whatever with the lady. so i left. then i went to the salvation army right next door and bought a tie. yes, a tie. i decided that it would be fun to buy a tie and use it as a belt. i'm doing it right now. doens't work too well, but i like it. actually it's a pretty nice tie. very classy. anyhow, mom and i went back to actually get a new pair of glasses today. problem is that i really like the ones that i have now. tried on a ton of them, narrowed it down to two, but still didn't pick one. there's one in black that i like the shape of (but i really don't like pure black for glasses; too dark) and there's one that i like with a pretty good color (although i wish it were darker), but i don't like the shape as much (but they're still ok). so stalemate. -sigh- why can't they just have my old ones?
anyways, this is sad. i'm bored already. why do all of my friends from school live so far away? it sucks. but i'm trying to find a cheap flight out to chicago to visit heather this summer. problem is that the cheapest i've seen so far have been $200 and i'd have to stay for a week (and i don't want to impose that much). but we'll see. i want to go visit her so bad! i miss her already, along with everyone else. regardless, i'm happy for this weekend. i finally get to go to NH!!! i've been wanting to go so bad for like a month. yes, it'll suck b/c it's just me and the 'rents, but eh. it's NH and i can just go take a walk or sit by the lake. i miss that. |

| At Home.....At Last..... |
[May. 21st, 2006|11:51 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | tired | ] | So haven't updated for awhile. let's see what's happened....
checked out of the dorm on thursday morning at 7:30am. i was supposed to check out at 9:30 and laura was checking out at 8am, but my RA asked me if i'd check out with laura to make it easier, and i was like sure. so laura decided that she wanted to get out earlier and so we checked out at 7:30am. we each got $5 in fines (for the paint that she ripped off the wall and for a "broken" dresser drawer--even though it was fine all year). Anyhow, so pam and i went to get lunch at our favorite chinese buffet that we found during interim....only to find out that it too was closed, or at least, under new management. suck. so then i went and checked into the hotel and just relaxed. i went swimming/hot tubbing for like an hour, watched some tv, then ate at hor d'heurve hour. it was wonderous. then my parents came and then we picked up val! that was exciting. then we went to the macaroni grill and we got two pieces of the penny BD cake that they give you (they didn't charge us for it either) b/c it was my dad's BD and we were also celebrating val's b/c it had been a week before. ok, and just to clarify, that cake is the MOST amazing chocolate cake EVER. it just is. then we had gifts from spain time. i got a big bar of chocolate for hot chocolate making, an espana tee-shirt and a venician glass necklace....prtty cool.
the next day we went out and my mom and i got in a fight and i was super pissed as was she and it was just awwrrrgggg. we went out for japanese; val got sushi and i got chicken tendon (it's really really good). val then had to leave, so i took her computer and watched some of the illegally downloaded movies and shows on it. i watched spirited away (pretty good....OH and as i was watching it i was like, that guy sounds like the guy that voiced kovu (who also played jason on BMW) and the girl sounds like the girl that voiced lilo. and they both were) it was pretty good, a little weird and difficult to follow at times, but overall good. then i watched grey's anatomy....eh. then i went to sleep b/c i was really tired b/c my mom's snoring had kept me up half the night before.
then graduation. much better than dianna's. i got to wear the clicky heels, so that made me happy. the speaker was ok, and this one guy was accepting an alummni award via videotape, and it turns out that he was the guy who dan brown based his novel angels and demons on (the anti-matter thing). and he went to calvin. oh calvin. we then went out to dinner with val and her friends and her friends' families (a total of 14 people) and by the time we were done with the eatin's, mom, dad and i got in the car and started driving. we left at about 8:15pm in GRR and drove through the nite. i slept between 2.5-3 hours total. we got into lynnfield at 9:30am today. quite the drive. got back, unpacked the car into my room (creating a vortex of a mess), then crashed in dianna's room. i set my alarm for 12:30, but only remember hearing it and promptly turning it off. i woke up at 2:30 instead when my mom came to wake me up to get ready for the memorial service for karen hanely.
so we went to that. it was pretty sad. my mom kept crying. and the strangest thing was that the whole time it was raining and storming outside, and right at the end, the storm cleared up and the sun shone through the windows of the church. and when we left, there was a huge rainbow right in front of us. crazy. anyways, at the reception, i saw some people that i hadn't seen in YEARS. aka, mr. Kamp (yes, him, can you believe it?) and taryn mailloux. holy crap, that was weird.
then i got back home around 7:45ish and i saw that i had two missed calls from shane so i was like, eh, i guess i should call him back to see what he wanted. so i did and he was like, yah, i wanted to know how to get to TGIFridays (...again...) and then he was like, so my favorite cousin came and whatnot as a suprise or something. and that was silly. and then he was like, so when do you come home? and i was just like, um, i'm home right now. and then it was like, what? and so i wound up driving to shane's to meet his cousin (more like say, oh, so you're the favorite cousin, shake hands, then have her leave, but no less). so then shane and i went to retreive a book for his homework (even though he only has one day left) and went to rachel's with me as the suprise. why they both thought i wasn't coming home for another week or so was just silly. then we left b/c rachel had to homework as did shane, so we went back to his house to BS some crap from othello for his english final or something. then he had to show me every last picture from backstage of the musical and i made him look at some of the apartment pictures from school. then we listened to some of the working soundtrack and then his mother made me feel even worse for not being able to go (b/c i went to my sister's graduation and missed it by a day and she was like, oh that's a shame b/c it was soooo good this year, etc). so then i was like, i am so freakin' tired, i need to go home b/c i still have to unpack so that i can sleep. so i left and went home. and random funny story....well kind of....so i was setting up my computer and i got out the keyboard and there was all this crap on it, and i was like eeewwww, gross (it looked like soap or shampoo or something) and so i wiped it off. now my keyboard and mouse are wireless, so i needed to reconnect them. the mouse was fine, but the keyboard was all eeehhh, and it was like, put batteries in to connect. and iwas like, it has batteries. so finally after it didn't work, i was like, well maybe the batteries are dead. so i checked. yah, um, the batteries were all corroded and that's what the crap on the keyboard had been. ahhh alkaline ooze! which reminds me, X3 is out the end of the week! yay! |

| | Overture from Annie | ] | Today is Sunday. It started raining on thursday. this is the FOURTH straight day of rain; as in, i haven't even seen a glimpse of the sun. and it's supposed to be raining for the rest of the week. well, i guess that helps in terms of studying....but not really.
i had my first two finals already. the psych one was eh, he used a lot of questions that he made up (instead of straight from our workbook like usual) and his short answers were evil. i BSed my way through them. Which means i'll probably bet .5 of a point and a "stingy, allison, stingy" remark again (yes, that was actually written on one of my tests). I took speech anatomy yesterday; it was only on the ear, but i think it was the hardest test that we had. it's not that the material's that hard, it's just the whole combination of i don't care anymore (b/c that was our 5th test and it's the end of the year), stress about moving out and other finals, and the fact that she breezed through the information and didn't really explain it all that well b/c of time constraints, then tested us as if we'd spent 2 wks on the material. i did worse than my other tests i'm sure, but i think i'll still get an A in the class (being as my other four scores were 97.5, 98, 100, and 98.5, plus i got a 10/10 in every lab except for one). So yah, should be fine.
Still two more exams to go: CAS140 (easy as hell) and CAS 311 (child lang dev.--harder...). And packing. i've slowly been going through all my stuff and dropping things off in the basement and at pam's. i got my inheritance from val's apt. yesterday--that helps out for next year. And the couch is getting moved in a few hours to it's summer home at pam's apt. i feel bad about all the crap i'm leaving there; it's almost more than all of her stuff! Anyhow, it's good to have someone living off campus that i can leave some of my larger items with. kinda sucks that she lives on the third floor though. oh well. |

| Reading Recess |
[May. 11th, 2006|10:57 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | excited | ] | So tomorrow is my first exam before the end of the year. i'm excited for this one; it's psych and i can't WAIT to pop that damn balloon! then never again! and he's using the same text, so i'll be able to sell it off for cheap and get some money back on it. anyhow, so alex and i went to the mediterranean crossings interim meeting and i want to go SOOOOOOO bad! it looks amazing! it has no language requirements, but my high school french will come in handy. They start in madrid, go down to the coast and cross into tangier in morrocco, then travel up the mediterranean coastline (they stop in denia too...too bad val won't be there anymore) then go to barcelona, then cross into france and go to marsailles, lyon, then three days in paris! it sounds AMAZING and i want to go so bad and if alex went then i'd actually know someone on the trip too! and since it leaves early (jan 2nd) then i'd have an extra week between interim and classes, and if i wanted, could stay over and do a little more traveling (maybe like italy or germany or austria or where ever). it's kinda expensive though, almost $3,500 (plus housing refund, so $3,150ish), plus it's more if you stay longer, plus all lunches and buying stuff too. but it'd be worth it i think. especially since there's no way i'm gonna be able to do a semester abroad and whatnot. what i've heard from everyone is travel while you can, while you're not tied down by anything. so i'm at very least going to apply. i'm excited. and i think it would be amazing if heather decided that she wanted to come on it instead of going to the yucatan, but i don't think she's gonna change (since mexico is actually useful for her major). Anyway, i want to travel soooo bad.
ok, back to working. at least tomorrow gets one thing out of the way. :) |

| | rainin' outside :) | ] | Today was the last day of classes. it was pretty sweet. i'm most happy to have my psych class over and done with...only the final left, and i take that one first on friday. yay! joosee apparently really liked my extra-credit paper though--even though it was a day late, he wrote on it and was like no late penalty and then wrote, you should try the consuling centre :), and i was like, um, yah, i'm good. So anyways, classes are OVER! it's so weird. half my career in college is over. in two years, i'm gonna graduate again. and it's sad b/c then we're all going to different places. it's almost depressing. i'm thinking about trying to fly out to chicago for sometime this summer to visit heather if i can find a really cheap flight. that would be amazing. alex is actually thinking about going, but she has an excuse b/c her grandparents live in the chicago area. i, alas, have no reasons other than personal.
And i started packing today (slap on the hand). our room is slowly becoming sad. i'm going to pam's apartment tomorrow to bring over some stuff and get the key so i can bring over more stuff and the couch on saturday. i'm excited. she and i are going to try to go down to NYC this summer and stay in Deb's apartment maybe while she's gone backpacking in VT for a month. that would be AMAZING.
and i have spent far too much money in the past week. target is like the devil for me....like, i love it, but i tend to spend so much money there! we went to target on tuesday, and X-men was on sale for $7.50 and i couldn't pass that up, esp. since i've been looking for it for like 2 yrs and have only been able to find X-men 1.5. and then they also had a double dvd w/ the secret garden and little princess on it and i've really wanted to watch secret garden for a long time b/c i haven't seen it forever and it's such a good movie, and so i bought it for $7.50 as well (and it had two movies so even better). and then we saw all the TV on DVDs (they have i dream of jeannie--ooooh, want it sooooo bad!---and ducktales and chip and dale rescue rangers, etc) and seasons 1&2 of the OC were on sale for $23 (they're usually $55) and season 1 is amazing, but heather and paige dragged me away. but i went back today and bought it....sooooooo excited to watch it, except that my dvd player's definitely broken... and i bought some canned goods and got a free tee-shirt, but then had to buy one b/c val "needed to finish the collection". eh, they're actually pretty sweet, i like them.
oh, and on tuesday i woke up at like 8am w/ a really bad charlie horse and i jumped out of bed (it was hard) and walked on it, but it still hurts really bad. stupid muscles....but enough...it's sleepy time. |

| | "La Valse d'Amelie" | ] | So yesterday was our apartment party. First we went on our apartment photoshoot and took many pictures for next year. Then caitlyn, paige, and leah left for caitlyn's house in kalamazoo, then alex, heather and i went to go see if the fountain at the apartments was on (it wasn't) and then we decided to go see our actual apartment. it was amazing and i think the girl thought we were weird. anyhow, later, alex, heather and i went to go see the premiere of tina's laughterhouse 5 skits (which alex was in). so we saw that at 8pm and it was good, then we got back to the dorm at quarter of 9, packed, and left by 9:30ish....we were supposed to leave at 8:45. so we got amy too, and then got in the car and drove to caitlyn's. heather was my navigator, and she did well....until sprinkle street. anyhow, paige called us to ask where the hell we were since it was like 10:30 and our original ETA was 9:45-10pm. well, anyways, moral is we got there. And as we were driving there we almost (well not quite) hit a deer that crossed the road. it was close, but not super close. it was a common theme for the day, with the dying duckling, the rabbit i almost hit with the car, then the deer. But we got to caitlyn's safely.
So first we started by making pizza. then we watched zorro and ate the pizza. then caitlyn, leah, paige, and amy went to bed. but alex, heather and i decided to stay up. so we did. first we didn't know what to do b/c we had to be quiet and it wasn't any of our houses or anything, so we took crazy pictures, involving many fun things, like gargoyles, bananas and the stove. then we decided to play Disneyland the game and it was AMAZING. i lost but it was like the most fun game ever. then we decided to go to bed around 3:30am. and i turned off the light by accident and heather got lost in the dark hallway.
Then we woke up. leah and caitlyn got up at like 9am; heather and i didn't get up until 11:30ish. oops. so we had homemade monkey bread (which was delicious) then went on a nature hike (but never got to see the lake :( but we did see a snake!). Then we had lunch (my first sloppy joe--not sure i really enjoy them....but it was ok) and then went home. it was fun to see puppies again--caitlyn has a samoyed and a bichon frise. they were fun, and i decided that my parents REALLY need another dog, if not for themselves, then for me.
Then we got back to GRR and i took a nap and heather broke in and put pictures on my computer :) and then i took a shower and it was dinner time and then after that leah and i conferenced on our huge child lang. paper that's due on monday and eh. and now it's sleepy time.

| | happy | ] | So our floor took our floor picture today at the sem pond. and as we were taking the picture, i looked for ramona and then i was like, omg! baby ramonas! (someone behind me was like, what's a ramona?). Anyhow, they were adorable, so i stole bread at lunch and paige and i went to feed ramona and the babies. So all the sudden the mate's shown up....which means (like alex kept telling me) that ramona is in fact a gander....but no matter, that goose will always be named ramona (NOT getting changed to ramon). Anyhow, they have 7 baby ramonas (goslings) and they were fuzzy and cute and when we got too close ramona and the mate hissed at us and chased us. But we got pretty close b/c we distracted them with bread. oh happiness!

| | Techno Irish Bagpipin' | ] | First off, today has had FAR too much studying in it. I'm doing far too much work for the end of the semester, so i think. and it's not gonna end until the 17th of may.
In the midst of my studying, i somehow got to thinking about Harry Potter and this one friday's kid that i had a while back who thinks that Hagrid is going to die in the 7th book b/c in the 5th, Sirius Black dies, then in the 6th, Albus (latin for white) Dumbledore dies, and so she thinks that Rubius (latin for red) Hagrid. So i thought that was worth mentioning. smart kids sometimes....but only sometimes....
Thirdly, at lunch, alex and i were leading the way out and back to the dorm and she's like, hey, Fireboy's in front of us! Fireboy is like bigfoot to us, except that we sight him all the time. He is legendary in my circle of friends. He's this really excentric freshman guy who fed our fire at relay for life, and so he got the name of fireboy. he always is sighted wearing cutoff tee-shirts and has a scruffy beard and he does acrobatic type things everywhere. Like, he'll be walking along, then burst out into a run and jump over a brick wall or something crazy like that. He works at commons, too and facebook tells us that he's dating someone (but who?.....yes, we stalk him, but only slightly...) But back to my story, so he's in front of us and just walking along, and then all the sudden he starts running and jumps up on the wall then runs out the door of commons, then runs up to his friend on the path, starts walking for a second or two, then starts running towards Johnny's and jumps the entire flight of stairs! It made me so happy, almost as happy as seeing Tall kid, who's taller than a conversion van and is going to live across the hall from us next year (oh, that reminds me that we saw him driving an Aztec and his head was hitting the roof b/c he is so tall!).
And this is sad, but i REALLY want to start packing up stuff. oh man. i still have 2+ weeks here. |
